Tap the Share button, scroll the row of app icons all the way to the right, tap More, and turn on Gist. You can also drag it to the top of the list so it's always one tap away.
Yes. Any app that can share a link to a public article, video, or podcast episode will work with Gist. Private content (DRM-locked media, members-only podcasts) can't be summarized.
Yes, Gist is free to use.
No. Gist doesn't require sign-up. We generate an anonymous, randomly generated user ID on first launch that's used only for rate limiting.
Gist does not collect personal information. When you share a URL, the link is sent to our server, which fetches the public content and generates a summary. We retain shareable summary pages so the links stay functional. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Uninstalling the Gist app removes your local history from your device. If you'd like a specific shared summary page taken down, email support@gist.website with the link and we'll remove it.
