The Gist name, logo, browser extension, mobile application, website design, and underlying technology are the property of Gist and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GIST, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

The Service uses the Anthropic Claude API for AI processing. Your use of the Service is also subject to Anthropic's terms and policies as they relate to the processing of content through their API. Gist is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.
You acknowledge and agree that Gist shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any content, goods, or services available on or through any third-party websites or services.
When you share a summary via the Service's sharing feature, the summary, title, key takeaways, and a link to the original source are stored on our servers and made accessible via a unique URL. By sharing a summary, you acknowledge that:
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
You agree that any cause of action arising out of or related to the Service must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues. Otherwise, such cause of action is permanently barred.
