Hugging Face CEO Clément Delangue quietly redirected a commenter to the Official Register of Color Names, where the color code 129303 resolves to a vivid shade of green — the exact green of Nvidia's iconic brand palette. The Nvidia reference wasn't encoded in financial history at all; it was sitting in a color hex the whole time. One commenter's reaction summed it up: his girlfriend had suggested the color angle immediately and he'd dismissed it.

Delangue noted he was surprised the Easter eggs hadn't been spotted sooner, and suggested the deliberate tweaking of the deal price away from a round $13 billion figure reflected that the exact number was never the central concern for either party.
